Counselling is a therapeutic process where you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and confidential environment. It can help you gain clarity, find solutions, and develop healthier ways of coping with challenges.
Deciding to start counselling can be a big step. If you’re feeling unsure, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This allows us to discuss your concerns, and you can get a sense of whether my approach feels right for you.
Short-term counselling usually focuses on a specific issue and can last between 8-10 sessions. Long-term counselling is open-ended and allows us to explore deeper patterns and more complex areas of your life.
Yes, I provide online counselling sessions for anyone over the age of 14. This can be a flexible and convenient option if you cannot attend in person.
In our first session, we’ll go through an assessment to understand what’s brought you to counselling and identify your goals. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions.
The cost is £60 per 50-minute session for adults and young people (12 years and over). Supervision sessions are £60 per hour. Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash on the day of the session.
I require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations (or by 5pm on a Friday for a Monday appointment). Cancellations can be made via email, voicemail, or text. If notice is not given in time, the full session fee will be charged.
Counselling is a confidential process. Everything we discuss will remain private unless there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, in which case I have a duty to act. This will be explained fully in our first session together.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help.
I offer a 15 minute complimentary phone consultation so contact me at wavelengththerapy@outlook.com to discuss how I can help you.
