About Me

My name is Donna, and I’m a qualified Integrative counsellor and therapist and registered and Accredited with The British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP). In practice, this means that I adapt to meet your individual and specific needs to ensure that you receive the best support from me.

Finding the right therapist to work with can feel overwhelming and confusing, and it’s important for you to feel comfortable with who you choose for support. I have therefore outlined a little bit about me, my qualifications and experience and how I work below, to help you decide whether I am the right therapist for you.

My Experience

I have been working with and supporting children, young people, families and adults for over 20 years in a variety of settings including; schools, colleges, learning centres, specialist educational provision, youth centres, outreach, targeted youth work, young offenders institute, children’s centres, and in people’s homes too.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor able to work with and support, adults, young people and children.

My specialism is in trauma and I have extensive experience in supporting clients with this, and have worked with STARS Dorset for over 5 years. I offer therapy of the highest quality and have been Accredited by the BACP and also work to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling professions.

I can offer you a trauma informed approach and provide a safe space to help you heal, support you to learn about the effects of trauma on emotions, learn about your brain and body and help you to move on.
